تتحدث الرواية عن كاتبة روايات رعب "ماريانا" بعد ان تعيش حياتها كمؤلفة ناجحة ذات صيت حتى يأتي ذات يوم يتم اختطاف ماريانا من قبل شخص ملقب بالشيطان ! بعد ان قتل الكثير من كاتبين روايات الرعب بدون ان يجدو لهم اي جثث لذلك تقول الاقوال بان الشيطان يأكل المؤلفين الذين لم تعجبه قصصهم ! تبدأ رحلة ماريانا في جحيم الشيطان عندما تستيقظ ويجبرها على كتابة الكثير من قصص الرعب له والا ستموت بأبشع الطرق !!! هل تستطيع ماريانا النجاة وهل الكتابة ستنقذها من هذا الجحيم ؟!
